About our Owner; Brandy S. Hamilton
Brandy S. Hamilton is the owner and operator of The Great Room here in Lexington, KY. Having spent several years in the design industry, she turned her passion for great home decor into a full-time career that takes full advantage of her eye for style. She owns our sister stores Stephen Lawrence Consignment, Ladybug Landing, and Designer Consignor.
Originally from the beautiful community of Hazard in rural Perry County in the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky, Brandy S. Hamilton moved to the Lexington area in 1993 to attend the University of Kentucky, where she met her husband. Together, they have raised three wonderful children in the Lexington community. The kids keep her super busy, but in her free time, Brandy loves to curl up with a good book, decorate homes, and hang out with her kids.
Brandy S. Hamilton loves running a consignment store because it allows her to see and handle pieces from different eras and apply them across new and old trends. Where a traditional furniture store carries items with the highest markups or copies of what is currently popular, instead, The Great Room focus on decor styles of all types and varieties throughout her store, including mid-century modern, farmhouse, contemporary, and industrial styles and more.
As a locally owned and operated business, The Great Room is dedicated to helping customers find everything they need to make their dream home a reality. Owner Brandy S. Hamilton prides herself on her excellent customer service and attention to detail, having previously spent over 20 years as a dental hygienist. Now she uses her entrepreneurial passion to help you decorate your space. No matter what you need for your home, Brandy is confident she can help you find it in the style you want.
